In September 2017, we opened Cygnets Quethiock C of E Pre-School.

The pre-school is managed by Miss Ruth Miller, who is a qualified teacher, and is an important part of our school community working within the framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). The Reception pupils spend time within the EYFS setting and the adjoining Swallows class so that staff share expertise and resources.

Our Pre-School offers an exciting and vibrant learning environment with a positive ethos and a warm family atmosphere that welcomes both children and their parents. We have well-qualified, experienced, caring staff who enable us to provide the very best in pre-school nursery education. The children are continually encouraged to explore new experiences, discuss and develop their interests and celebrate their wonderful ideas and cultural backgrounds. There is a strong emphasis on outdoor learning, with extensive grounds including an outdoor classroom, fire pit, planting areas and story-telling area.

We have access to all the main school equipment, including the playground equipment, fields, hall for PE and laptop suite. Cygnets provides places for up to 30 children per day and operates sessions every morning and afternoon with a Lunch Club available for children aged 3 years and over. We are considering offering places for ‘rising 3s’, so please get in touch ( if you are interested in joining us so that we can plan our numbers accordingly.

Please note our wraparound care – Breakfast Club & After School Club – is available to children aged 3 years plus if already in receipt of 3/4 year old funding. Cygnets Pre-school is part of Quethiock C of E School and is guided by the main school policies and procedures.
